Enjoy One Of The Most Popular Places To Eat In Raymore At Missouri Mud Company

Missouri Mud is a 10/10

If a restaurant has been around for 22 years, you know it’s going to be good. Since 1999, this family-owned Greek deli and coffeehouse has been a part of the Raymore community.  Clyde Aufner, who currently helps run the restaurant with Cara Beck, and their mother, owner Tina Giannios Alyea.   Tina opened the eatery because she wanted to follow in the footsteps of her own grandfather, who owned a candy company and a restaurant. A love of food runs deep in this family, and we are so excited to share that love with all of you here on Highlight My Town.

Menu Must-Haves

One thing that’s awesome about Missouri Mud is that they aren’t afraid to try new recipes and highlight new menu items. That being said, they have some classics that are adored by the community. If you’re a first-timer and you’re wondering what to try, some of the most highly sought-after dishes are the Reuben sandwich, beef gyros, and potato soup. You can’t go wrong with any of these choices! If you still can’t choose, Missouri Mud has daily specials that are so delicious you might just find yourself here every day of the week:

  • Tuesday: Usually you’ll find savory soup and a half sandwich or a salad stealing the spotlight on Tuesdays.
  • Wednesday: Baked Greek chicken and potatoes will warm you from the inside out on Wednesdays.
  • Thursday: If you want a taste of everything, come in on a Thursday to try the Euro Sampler Platter. This way you don’t have to fight about what you’re ordering. Thursdays are also a popular day to stop in because they make Spanakopita.
  • Friday: If you have to pick one day to visit, Fridays are the most highly rated. Fridays are Greek spaghetti Fridays, and Missouri Mud usually sells out, so don’t wait until closing to pop by.
  • Saturday: Saturdays aren’t as predictable, but they’re just as delicious. The team at Missouri Mud listens to what its customers want. If people are asking for Greek meatloaf or Pastitsio, a Greek lasagna, you might just be lucky enough to taste it on a Saturday.

Who doesn’t love a menu that keeps your favorites on it while rotating some popular or sought-after dishes from time to time? You could eat here every day without ever getting tired of it!

Eat Dessert First

Okay okay, so the food here is so good that you might not want to eat dessert first, but you will definitely want to eat dessert at some point! You’ll love the ever-changing selection of different cakes and pies. There’s even a chocolate chip cookie cheesecake!! If that doesn’t make you come running, then nothing will. Missouri Mud’s coconut cakes and ooey gooey butter cakes are also crowd-pleasers. If you are craving something that’s not on the menu yet, the Missouri Mud crew might just make your dreams a reality if you ask – talk about customer service!!
