Enjoy A Taste Of Summer At Tropical Sno In Raymore, MO

The Tropical Sno location in Raymore has been open for about 6 years now, but the current owners, Jared and Sarah Busse, purchased the store about 3 years ago and took charge of operations. Since then, they have seen their own community open up and find immense joy in getting to know everyone in the area, remembering their favorite orders, and seeing them each time they visit Tropical Sno. To me, it sounds like it’s more about the community than it is about the Sno itself, though that’s pretty great too. Jared and Sarah live nearby, so it isn’t rare for them to see neighbors pop in for a cool treat, which they absolutely love!

Must-Try Flavors

If you just can’t choose between their delicious flavors, get a rainbow shaved ice and try them all! This one is especially fun because of how colorful it is and seems to be a constant favorite, especially among kids. Sarah recommends the strawberry shortcake flavor and says it’s her personal favorite. Another popular flavor is Summer Breeze or create-your-own. The sno-cones are fully customizable and have only one main requirement: to put a smile on your face.

Quality Ingredients Make a Difference

We’ve all had sno-cones, shaved ice, Hawaiian ice, whatever you want to call it, but at Tropical Sno, they recognize that quality is what will keep customers happy. All their shaved ice flavors are made to taste as close to the natural flavor as possible, so you’re not getting any cough-syrup-like experiences that we all know too well. Additionally, they take extra time to shave their ice very fine, so it feels more like a powdered snowball in a cup than crunching on hunks of frozen water. It quite literally melts in your mouth in the most satisfying way, so go try Tropical Sno today!

Open Season Alert

I don’t want to be the one to break this news to you, but Tropical Sno does not operate all year round, which is sad, but understandable. I don’t think many people are seeking out shaved ice when there is snow on the ground. Make sure you visit between late May and Labor Day to cool off from the heat! They are generally open from 2-10 PM every day, but the hours may vary so check on Instagram or Facebook to get the most up-to-date information. After your visit, let me know which flavor I need to try next!
